Politician. The ideal African politician for the unique socio-geopolitical situation of Africa can be found in Africa today. But, the
existence of obstructive political structures and tyrannical political systems do not permit the Africanist politician to propagate the Africanist
ideology, which is Neo-Africanism, the Afrocentric ideology that advocates harmonious and cooperative existence of Africa's diverse Ethnic
Groups. As a result of the inhospitable political climate created by the political structure and the political systems, Africa has not benefited
from many a good African politician, the consequences of which are internal political strife, tensions and dissensions culminating in
frequent political instability and economic weaknesses. The African People must, therefore, identify the perfect African politician, support
and elect them and protect them from unwarranted assault by ethnocentric politicians. The people of Africa must support Africanist
politicians. The people of Africa must elect Africans who understand and support the New African Political Mission, which is African
Unification and Democracy. UAO is committed to helping the African People identify and elect the perfect African politician. The aim is
primarily to create a cadre of New Generation of African Politicians, worthy of emulation by current and future politicians of Africa.

| The New African Politician ..... The essential political attributes The New Generation African Politician is the perfect African politician. The ideal African politician understands and supports the political mission of Africa today. The African political mission is the attainment of African Unification and Democracy. Therefore, the qualities of a good African politician must be such as to enable Africa achieve her political mission. Such a leader must possess the experience and the ability to handle inter-ethnic and inter-state political and economic relationships in order to be able to help Africa accomplish the mission. To accomplish Africa’s mission, a New Generation African Politician must be well equipped with diverse qualities and Africa has many of such politicians today. Africa must harness all these qualities from all parts of Africa to eliminate political instability, maintain peace and build prosperity in Africa. Among the many traits of the perfect African politician, a fervent belief in the Africanist ideology stands out as the most essential to achieving the New African Political Mission. An Africanist The New Generation African Politician is an Africanist. An Africanist is an advocate of Social Harmony and Mutual Interdependence, a philosophy deeply embedded in the African culture. The dissemination of the Africanist ideology is necessary to foster harmonious and cooperative existence of Africa's diverse Ethnic Groups. The Africanist eschews parochial ideology such as ethnocentrism as it is the primary cause of Africa's political instability and economic weaknesses. The Africanist believes in the preservation of the African Cultural Diversity and therefore the protection of the African Identity. The Africanist believes that the traditional African philosophy of Social Harmony and Mutual Interdependence is the only appropriate ideological foundation that will protect all cultures in Africa. The Africanist advocates that all Ethnic Groups in Africa, irrespective of race, must be protected. The Africanist believes that harmonious and cooperative existence of African cultures protects all Africans and that maximum protection of all the diverse Ethnic Groups of Africa is essential to sustaining political stability and economic prosperity in Africa. There are many Africanist in Africa today. There are many such politician in all Regions, Provinces and States in Africa. The people of Africa must identify them, support them and elect them for the survival of Africa depends on them. A Democrat The Perfect African Politician is a democrat. A democrat respects the will of the African People expressed in a free and fair elections. A democrat believes in political decentralization - the dispersal, diffusion and distribution of political power among geopolitical jurisdictions and among political institutions. A democrat is ever willing to share political power. The democrat detest political centralization - the consolidation, concentration and monopolization of political power by one or a few people, institutions or Ethnic Grops. The Perfect African Politician is a democrat who abhors the concept of concentration of power. The New Generation African Politician abhors the "winner-takes-all" political system prevalent in Africa today. The African Democrat believes in the equitable sharing of the wealth and power of any African political jurisdiction by all socio-geopolitical political groups in the jurisdiction. In addition, the New Generation African Politician cares about the social, political and economic well being of all Africans irrespective of social, racial, political or economic affiliations. The Perfect African Politician shares and cares. There are such politicians in Africa today. The people of Africa must support them and elect them because sustainable peace and prosperity in Africa depends on such politicians. A Constituent The ideal African Politician today is constituent. A constituent represents the interest of one political constituency in the nation and no other constituency, foreign or domestic. A political constituent represents only the people of a political jurisdiction. An economic constituent represents only an economic jurisdiction. A constituent does not represent more than one constituency - A Political Constituency and an Economic Constituency. A constituent abhors the concept of dual political representation - political representation and economic representation. A constituent eschews dual representation of a political constituency and an economic constituency. Therefore, a constituent African politician who represents a political jurisdiction represents the sole interest of the people of the political constituency for the purposes of national policy formulation and legislation. The interest of the constituency is paramount. The New Generation African Politician have unadulterated loyalty to the political constituency but no loyalty to any industry or trade group, if elected by a political constituency. Conversely, the New Generation African Politician have unadulterated loyalty to the industry or trade group but no loyalty to any political constituency, if elected by an economic constituency. The Perfect African Politician is an ardent believer in the concept of politics as a great selfless public service to the constituents ... Politics is never a means to amass personal wealth and power. The New Generation African Politician has undivided allegiance to the constituents. There are such politicians in Africa today. The people of Africa must support them and elect them because the political and economic well being of the African political constituency depends on such politicians. A Consensus Politician The New Generation African Politician subscribe to consensus politics. A consensus politician is a fervent believer in the concept of equilibrium society. In an equilibrium society there is no conflict. The consensus politician believes that the absence of conflicts in a society is the result of the equilibrium state of the society. The equilibrium state is the political condition indicative of the attainment of equitable distribution of wealth and power among social and geopolitical groups in the nation. The result of political equity is absence of conflicts. The Perfect African Politician believes that political equity prevents conflicts and as such is willing to compromise. The New Generation African Politician is willing to forgo some political advantages for the sake of unity, harmony and cooperation among the people of Africa in order to create and maintain a perfect political equilibrium in all Regions, Provinces and States in Africa. The Perfect African Politician believes in the politics of consensus and is willing to compromise in order to attain a permanent state of no strife, tension or conflict in any part of Africa. There are such politicians in Africa today. The people of Africa must support them and elect them because the equitable sharing of wealth and power in Africa depends on such politicians. UAO Proposal UAO has identified the political attributes of a New Generation African Politician and believes that there are African politicians in Africa today who meet the test of the Perfect African Politician and would like the African People to support them and elect them. The Land of Africa needs Africanist politicians to end the current political state of disunity and instability, which is indicative of a state of disequilibrium, a state of unequal distribution of wealth and power among Africa's Ethnic Groups. The state of disequilibrium in the African State has been brought about by the embrace of ethnocentric and foreign ideologies . As a result of these divisive ideologies, the Land of Africa is beset with competing Ethnic Groups, groups trying to out wit each other, out maneuver each other and sometimes out kill each other in order to acquire an inordinate share of the wealth and power of the African State. Without Africanist politicians, there can be neither peace nor prosperity for any African Ethnic Group. Africa has politicians willing to share the wealth and power of the State, but the people of African must support them and elect them. The African People must support the New Generation African Politician in order to benefit from good politicians currently overshadowed by ethnocentric politicians of the African State. To achieve the African political mission, which is Unification & Democracy, UAO appeals to the African People to support the Africanist - The New Generation African Politician.
